2013 Resolution

A new year. Thoughts race through my mind. The excitement of new possibilities, new beginnings. Ideas, plans, goals, lists, priorities, hopes, dreams, reading, writing, calendaring and planning.

I sit down, journal and pen in hand, the Word at my side. I attempt to focus this flurry of anticipation.

I pray and listen. My heart hears. “Be intentional.”

I start looking over my lists again. Running through the many ideas I have for my family, for our spiritual and emotional growth, for our health and happiness, our future. 2013 holds so much hope and promise. Such anticipation.

The words come back to me. “Be intentional.”

To be intentional in all I do. To be the best I can be in every moment. To look into my children’s eyes and be completely present. To be present, focused and intentional in my spiritual walk, in serving my family, with my health, my home, my finances…intentional.

So, 2013, I face you with excitement and one goal in mind…to be intentional.
