Haiti Countdown – 10 days

Great news! Ben was able to get all the vaccines he needed as well as his malaria prescription – just in the nick of time!

We continue to learn more about Haiti and we are increasing our prayers for the people there.  As we watched a couple of documentaries about the current conditions in Haiti, my heart was deeply moved. Just to think of the enormous amount of people still displaced from an earthquake that occurred over a year ago causes me to feel overwhelmed with gratitude. We have so much here in the United States….so much. Viewing pictures of tent cities, and hearing people share about the trauma they have experienced while living in unprotected areas makes me want to take many teams to Haiti and build as many houses as we can, as soon as possible, and see the amount of displaced people reduced.

In the next several days, Ben will continue to put in long hours at work so that he can get as much done as possible prior to leaving, and to help provide for our financial needs as a family while he takes time off. As I have said before, we know who our Provider is and have complete faith that everything will work out great.

More to come!
