Leaving in a mere 27 days – there is much to be done! The team my husband is travelling to Haiti with are all diligently working to raise their financial support and prayer partners for this upcoming trip. Letters have been sent and as people are responding we are working to create a list of those who will be praying for my husband and the team, as well as those who are able to offer financial support.
My husband has a running checklist of things to have accomplished prior to leaving for Haiti. He recently received his new passport. Check. Putting in hours whenever possible on a team construction project (all proceeds go to the Haiti trip). Check. This week he needs to schedule an appointment to receive several different immunizations. Almost a check…
I am excited for him to have this opportunity to go to Haiti. My husband and I both have such a heart for the nations, a heart for missions. We have been able to travel at different times in our lives and minister to the needs of those who do not yet know Christ as their Savior. As we are raising our family, our focus is mostly here at home. However, we are blessed to be sending him and look forward to hearing about how God uses this team to minister to the Haitian people by building homes, sharing the Word and praying for health and healing.
Lord, I am praying tonight for the health and well-being of all the team members and their families. Please bless each person with excellent health in the coming weeks. Thank you Lord for causing all the details of this trip to come together so quickly, so beautifully. Please continue to shower your favor over this team. Lord, you know exactly what dollar amount is needed for this trip. I know you are a great provider. I have seen your handiwork. Lord, we trust that you will continue to bring forth the finances as needed. Lord bless each family with your favor and protection – for those travelling and those staying here in Hawai’i. Keep each person safe, healthy, full of energy and ready to minister! Lord, please bring all family members back together healthy and strong. Bless the team with strength, unity, and peace. Let them be cohesive in their efforts. Cause them to be very bright lights, carrying forth your message of love to Haiti. Amen.
