Here is a quick update. As you probably know, for the past six days I have been fasting a praying for my youngest son. We are praying for him to be healed from a seizure disorder.

As of yesterday I was so encouraged. Many people have joined with us in prayer and fasting for his healing. And honestly over the past few days we have seen a great improvement. Prior to the fast he was having many seizures during the day…sometimes up 60 or more per day. Over the past couple of days he was having maybe ten at the most. They come in clusters and they have been seemingly mild.

Last night however, something drastic took place. He was awakened around midnight from the strongest seizures we have ever seen him have. He let out this blood curdling scream that startled us and woke his eldest sister. We entered the room and immediately we knew that something was terribly wrong. He was terrified. He was having very strong seizures, has hands were trembling, his eyes were rolling up and to the right, he would grunt out his breath as the seizures forced his head down and his body was forced to exhale. It was almost as if he was trying to shake off the seizures in-between because he would kick as he was crying and screaming. We prayed hard. We tried to get his attention. We were asking God for wisdom. Praying more. Forty-five minutes later, the seizures were still present, but they were not nearly as forceful. He began to come around more and smile at us in-between seizures. I have never experienced anything like this before, and I hope to never experience this again.

We are continuing to pray and fast and believe for great things. Thank you again for praying with us.

    Hey sister,

    I’ve been thinking about you this week and I’ve been lifting up you and your family during this time. As you continue to fast and pray, remember that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, does not waver between “Yes” and “No”…he always does what he says. For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory. {2 Cor. 1:19-20 NLT}

    The Holy Spirit also laid this scripture on my heart to share with you…Therefore he is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through him. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf. {Heb. 7:25}

    I love you and your family!
    Hope 🙂
