Beautiful women. Real. Surrendered. Telling their stories. Speaking truth. Loving God. Loving their families.
We come together to encourage and inspire each other one time a month. We agree that once a month hardly feels like enough and yet none of us have more room in our already overflowing schedules to add commitments. Our meeting times are becoming more personal as time passes, and relationships grow. We share the hard times of homeschooling and the deep convictions about why we have chosen this lifestyle for our family. Some of the sweetest fellowship I have had the privilege of experiencing is among women who homeschool their children. Camaraderie, and compassion mark our times together.
After a long, busy week, full of complicated emotions and a harried schedule, I was so blessed to sit in a room surrounded by women who love God, love their families and love homeschooling.
Our group is growing. New women are joining us each time we meet. As our fellowship grows, so does our compassion for one another. We all recognize the need for this support. Support that only another woman who is home educating her children can offer. We enter the room and even if we are meeting for the first time, there is already a sense of relationship. The foundation is set in Christ. We are a part of the same body. Then we see that we are like-minded; each of us with varying styles and perspectives, all with the same goal in mind….To raise up our children in our homes, teaching them, nurturing them, praying with them, and intentionally discipling them through situations that arise, each and every day.
Heavenly Father, I am so grateful for each of these women. As I pray and write, I can picture each of their faces. Thank you Lord that You have brought us together. I thank You for orchestrating our fellowship and the encouragement it brings.
Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:23-25
