Back Pain

Praying again today for God to heal my back. This is a daily prayer, actually multiple times a day, and still I wait for God to completely remove this pain. I know full well that He is more than able to take care of this need.

I have had moments of relief, but since December the pain is not gone. Today is one of those days that I am reminded about how intense the pain can be. It is nearly overwhelming. My Aunty has given me a list of exercises that I have just started doing. My chiropractor in Oregon had given me some as well, which I have continued to do since JAnuary of this year. I am trying not to life my two youngest children as much and as you can imagine this is so difficult. I attempt to swim a couple of times a week which seems to help while I am in the water. Walking hurts, but seems to help after the fact and ibuprofen has become a dear friend.

Lord, I pray that this pain would subside, that my back would be healed, and that I would feel well. Thank you God for friends and family that have continued to pray for me.  Please bring relief.

Add me to those who are praying for your healing. I can’t imagine doing all you do while in constant pain. You always have a welcoming smile and caring words for everyone around you. I had no idea until the other day what you were experiencing.
Father, I pray right now that you would bring comfort to my friend. Heal her back and take away the pain. Let her find rest in you. You are so faithful and able to do more than we can ask or think. Please do that for my sister. Thank you for being her strength, comforter and healer. In Jesus mighty name, Amen.

  3. Jess,

I can SO relate and just wanted to add a comment here to let you know that I will be praying AND…as one who has walked down the a path of back pain and other physical pain, I just wanted to encourage you to keep hanging in there, God can show up at any time. For me it took some time (I believe it was a tool, and still is, to assist in my refining…but that’s another subject), BUT God showed up and He took away what became literally debilitating to me. After 3 years of thinking it would never change (and Dr’s telling me I would never be the same or walk without severe pain)…..it did! And you know that I walk similar to everyone else, so that is my little testimony of healing and I want you to know that I’m here if you need encouragement or just want to talk. 😉

James 5:15-16 – And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

So, here is my fervent prayer:

“Lord God, you are so wonderful and worthy of all our praise and worship! Thank you for all the many blessings you have bestowed on my friend Jessica and her family. You have been faithful in hearing our heart cries for this beautiful family that has committed their lives in service of you. Today I ask you to heal Jessica’s back pain, I want to pray with the kind of faith that moves mountains. Sometimes I wonder if I should even ask, perhaps I should just say Thank You…for you have told us that by your stripes, we were healed. As the woman who touched the hem of your garment believed you would heal her, I believe you will heal Jessica! Lord, please let it be now, but I know that you’re Will and timing are perfect so I plea that if today is not your perfect timing then I ask for an added portion of strength, joy, and peace to be given to Jessica so she can let your light shine even brighter and be a witness to your loving care for us. In Jesus Holy and Healing name, Amen!”

Man Jessica I didn’t realize you had such bad back pain! I pray you get healing also! They should have some amazing massage therapist there. That might help too! I pray you find something! Love you, Raeane =)

Thank you Raeane! I appreciate your encouragement and prayers as well. The past two weeks have been more intense than usual. And I have not been writing much…Sitting down is not that easy to do. Thinking of you and wishing we could catch up on the phone soon!
