Beds!

We have beds for all six kids! My children have been incredible about sleeping on air mattresses and futons. They have not complained a bit. And, as a mom I am relieved that the hunt for the right furniture for them has come to an end. After many garage sales and ads on Craigslist…what a wonderful tool and yet it is quite a commitment to search things out. Oh the emails the phone calls, waiting for responses! It was reminiscent of our move! We finally found the last of the beds. Now all the kids have real beds to sleep in. We got a steal on some great, used, Pottery Barn bunk beds for the girls. The three mattresses were new and in their packaging. The frame is sturdy and super solid.   It is a bunk bed for three – a regular bunk bed with a trundle underneath.

The boys took a little longer. I searched for quality furniture for them as well, and did not have the same luck. So, we ended up purchasing a newer, cheaper frame for their room and a couple barely used mattresses from a local construction company that had purchased the mattresses for a house rental where their construction workers slept a few nights a week while working on a project. These were great mattresses originally from Costco. We cleaned them up and they are fabulous!

Everyone is happy to have a space they can tuck into at night, read on during the day and rooms are looking more and more complete all the time.

Thank you Lord for your provision!  You knew so well what we needed, and what we could spend, and you blessed us again!
